Note: Minor spoilers for books 1-3 below. You've been warned!Jordan Mitchell was a young man in his early 20's, who came to Titamas through the Southern Monolith in search of his sister, Alice. He encountered the knight, Katrina Humphrey, and the two joined with Morgan Crowley and Eleanor Faewood in search of the wizard, Theodore, with hopes that he could send Jordan and his wayward sister home to Old Earth circa 2020. Jordan's magic allowed him to create a veil of fire around his weapons.[Read More...]
Katrina Humphrey was a member of the Knight's Guild in Balestone city, charged with the protection of Lady Eleanor Faewood as her personal guardian. By choosing to join the Knight's Guild, she surrendered her inheritance to her family's wealth, lands, and titles---but her friendship and feelings for Eleanor were worth more than all the gold in Titamas to Katrina. She would discover Jordan Mitchell after he stumbled into Titamas and act as his guide and protector until he could hold his own. Katrina's magic allowed her to project a circular energy shield from her wrists. [Read More...]
Morgan Crowley is a former warlock and current advisor to the Court Wizard of Drakeholm, Cosmo Blackcandle. Crowley had no inherent magic of his own, so he made a pact with the Demon Lord, Malphas, to grant him warlock magic, giving Crowley a wide variety of magic spells and abilities. He later trained with Cosmo under the guidance of the wizard, Theodore Blackcandle. Crowley is not the adventerous type, preferring to stay home and relax rather than risk his neck for treasure or fame. Even so, he all-too-often finds himself right in the middle of the exact scenarios he tries so hard to avoid...[Read More...]
Lady Eleanor Faewood was a noblewoman and ambassador for Reach City, who travelled Titamas advocating for Elf and Firvaeva Rights. She was known to have a short temper and wicked punch---due to studying with Fire Monks at their temple near her home. After her father was "killed" by Dragoon soldiers(which later turned out to be false), she held a resentment towards the elite soldiers and humans in general. Despite her condescending attitude, Eleanor did have a soft side and was often disappointed when she made the rare joke and no one laughed(usually out of fear.) Eleanor's magic allowed her to engulf her fists and feet in flames. [Read More...]
Theresa Ninelives is the daughter of Miranda Ninelives. Their family had worked as servants to the Faewood family for generations, including Theresa being assigned to Lady Eleanor. When she and the girl became too close, Eleanor's father had them separated and put the blame on his daughter, hoping to squash their "unnatural" affection for each other. Theresa trained with the Fire Monks and became a powerful warrior, being given the honor of leading the Bairl Zwoib death squad for King Gregory Faewood(and later the Foretold.) Her ultimate goal has never changed---the fight for Firaveva rights and equality, going so far as to pose as King Draconus for a brief period and enacting new laws to give her fellow catfolks a chance to sever the chains society bound them with. She is the mother of Felix Mitchell and the lover of both Eleanor Faewood and Jordan Mitchell. Theresa's magic allowed her to channel the spirits of the dead(as long as she held some of their remains) and even use their skills in combat or magic. [Read More...]
Commander Benjamin Torres was a member of the Knight's Guild and a former mentor to Katrina during her training. Torres was very level-headed and preferred to think things through tactically before acting. He commanded Fort Silver, though the Foretold eventually infiltrated his forces and captured him. He was good friends with Zieg, the Cardinal, and hired Kate to clear out any Bairl Zwoib who tried to sneak into the fort. Torres' magic allowed him to see through illusions and falsehoods, including spoken lies.
Kate was a bounty hunter, renown for her marksmanship and hatred of elves. She was hired by Commander Torres to clear out any Bairl Zwoib(which was made up of exclusively elves, other than their leader, Theresa) who had infested Fort Silver. She was also entrusted with the Sapphire Dragon Stone by Commander Torres to give to Eleanor. Despite her prejudice, Kate was more than happy to fight side-by-side with elves in the final days of the Fortold war before ultimately being crushed by the Shadow Dragon. Kate's magic is unknown, but Commander Torres suspected her marksmanship was almost supernatural.
Zieg is a Cardinal, a police force used by the Council of the Enlightened, to ensure peace remains across the Four Kingdoms. Zieg is, ironically, a cardinal/human hybrid and resembles a bipedal humanoid with a bird's head, wings on his back, and talons in place of feet. When the Foretold attacked the Council of the Enlightened, Zieg was shot down and wound up injured in the Singed Plains---where he was rescued by Cosmo and Crowley aand healed. He joined in the final battle of the Foretold War and rumor has it that he joined the Knight's Guild as their first former-Cardinal member.
Alice Mitchell is the younger sister of Jordan Mitchell. She was exploring the forest near their summer camp when she was pulled into the Monolith portal and brought to Titamas by Arcturus, Prof. Sanders, and Theodore. She attempted to flee, but was knocked out by a high dosage of experimental Memory Shroud which caused her severe amnesia and mild brain damage. Theodore took her to Gill Village once she had recovered to bring her to her mother, who had been brought to Titamas years earlier---but instead she joined her brother and Lynn Rose in the Battle of the Demon's Gate, using the power of the Ruby Dragon Stone and Mythic Armor. She was thought to be lost in the battle, but was later rescued from the Endless Void by Cosmo's Wild Magic and Lynn Rose. She then joined Lynn on her quest to heal the damaged Skydome over Ghost Mountain. Alice's magic allowed her to fire flaming arrows(or other projectiles) but as her memory fades in and out, so does her magic. [Read More...]
Arcturus (2nd) was the title taken by Anton Faewood(also known as Antonio Mitchell) when he returned (mortally wounded) to Titamas and was rebuilt by Queen Victoria Blackstone to survive off the dark magic of the Shadow Dragon Stone. He retained his original memories and personality, but was at constant war with his darker side and the influence of the Shadow Dragon Spirit, Tormvuren. Arcturus would be instrumental in the Foretold War and, despite the darker influences, would ultimately do what he could to save his children and protect their new home. Arcturus' magic allowed him to summon a pair of flaming wings and fly. [Read More...]
Lady Mitchell is the mother of Jordan and Alice, and the second wife of Anton Faewood/Antonio Mitchell. When she and her children were at their summer camp, Arcturus, Prof. Sanders, and Theodore attempted to bring them to Titamas to reunite their family---but the Monolith's magic was unable to be controlled causing Lady Mitchell to arrive nearly 50 years too early in the timeline(likely due to her distance from the portal), while Alice and Jordan would arrive at the correct time---just at different Mononlith stones. Lady Mitchell would marry a hunter in Gill Village and together they would build a powerful noble house and have a son, Avery. Tragically, even though both Jordan and Alice were in Gill together, they were not reunited before the Battle of the Demon's Gate. Due to having no Titamas ancestry, Lady Mitchell has no magic of her own.
Professor "Sanders" was the alter ego used by Professor Robert Blackstone to conceal his true age, hiding the fact that he was the original Blackstone in Titamas. His Sanders identity is credited for the creation of the human/animal hybrids that inhabit Titamas---an early attempt at illegal gene splicing to help the humans adapt to life on the newly terraformed portion of Titan. He would later help discover and harness the power of Quasar and develop much of the technology that used it as a power source. He was "killed" by Theresa at Jordan Mitchell's command before they left his cabin and headed their own ways---but in reality, he survived and returned to his real home, the tower at the center of the Dead Lake in Northern Farloke.
